Adopt-A-Wolf

Want to get closer to a wolf, fox, or coyote? Borrow one of ours for a year!

Our Adopt-A-Wolf program allows you to "keep tabs" on your favorite Wolf Park wolf or give a friend or loved one the gift of wolves.  Animal sponsors receive a certificate with a photograph of their wolf and its  biography.  Four times a year sponsors receive updates on their wolf's activities along with a current color photo.  They even get a bit of fur shed by their adopted animal in their spring update.  In addition, sponsors receive all the benefits of a family membership, such as admission to the Park for themselves and their family, and our quarterly newsletter.  (Sponsorship includes a family membership.  You do not need to purchase a membership separately!) 

A very special and unique part of the sponsorship program is the privilege of meeting a wolf.  Sponsors over 18 years of age and in good health (restrictions will apply) are welcome to make an appointment to meet "their" animal, up close and in person, during the year of their sponsorship. (In some cases, sponsors may have to meet a proxy.) Visits can be scheduled March to December, and last about 30 minutes.  There is a mandatory safety talk for those meeting their wolf.   

We believe that the impact of meeting a wolf in person is profound and this connection helps us all understand the importance of the wild world on our planet.  We hope that each sponsor becomes a better citizen of the world, and finds an even greater love and respect for nature and wildlife, after having this unique experience with one of our wolves.

People of any age may sponsor a wolf, but you must be 18 years of age or older to meet our wolves in person.  Sponsors under 18 years of age can, in most circumstances, meet our tame red foxes.  Only the sponsor can meet the wolf-- one person per sponsorship.  Please call if you have questions about these policies.

Puppy Sponsorships.  Adopting a puppy is a little bit different than a regular sponsorship.  Adoption of a puppy is generic, rather than animal specific, since the puppies do not have names yet and it is not certain which ones will be remaining at our facility.  You will receive general puppy information and be allowed to visit the puppies once they are old enough. Please note that we have very strict guidelines for puppy visits. When you schedule your appointment, we will let you know when the puppies tend to be most active, but we cannot guarantee that they will be awake. We do not wake up sleeping puppies, so be aware that your visit may only include you watching your puppy sleep! Your visit may also have to be cut short based on the needs of the puppies.  Once the puppies are older, you will be able to choose which specific puppy will be the one that you adopt.

The fee for sponsorship is $175 per year.
